The yellow Ethernet cable is for our Management network (IPMI).
Are you familiar with IPMI? All of our new Intel Xeon servers come with it. IPMI acts as a dedicated KVM unit for your server and allows you to mount virtual media (CD or DVD). Need to reload your server with a new operating system? Just login to our Control Panel to connect to your server’s dedicated IPMI interface.
As long as your server has power, the IPMI management interface is always on, even if your server is powered off. Another feature is the ability to safely power down your server.
